February 2, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$20.00

Join us for an Interactive discussion where three funny guest speakers, John Garrett, Andrew Tarvin and Robert A. George will share how to quickly use humor to be more effective speakers, facilitated by Jeanne M. Stafford, NSA Member and MeetUp chair.

Speakers will learn to:

– Incorporate humor into their programs
– Increase confidence when speaking
– Engage their audiences more effectively

About the Speakers:

John Garrett

John Garrett is a regular in Las Vegas, has opened for Louie Anderson in Atlantic City and been seen in concert with the band Train. You may have heard his comedy on the nationally-syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show or tracks from his comedy album on Sirius|XM Satellite Radio.

All of this from someone who used to be an accountant. After several years in public accounting being told to “think outside the box”, John decided it was better to “live” outside the box. He became a comedian and is quickly making a name for himself as a “recovering CPA” as he travels the country performing over 200 shows a year. And he was even featured in The New York Times.

Andrew Tarvin

Andrew Tarvin is an Humor Engineer. He teaches people how to enjoy their jobs more while doing them better. Andrew has worked with thousands of people from 100+ organizations, including P&G, GE, and Microsoft, on topics ranging from mastering office communication to humor in the workplace.

He is a best-selling author, has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, TEDx, and FastCompany, and has delivered talks in 49 states, 14 countries, and 3 continents. He loves the color orange and is obsessed with milkshakes. For more, visit www.HumorThatWorks.com.

Robert A. George

Robert A. George is a punning, improvising, tweeting writer and occasional stand-up comic.  In addition to his position as Associate Editorial Page Editor with the New York Post, George also has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, Fox and regularly appears on other political affairs programs.
