Acting improvisation accommodates professional speakers to the fact that the audience is silently asking the question “Why are you telling me this? They want to know what’s in it for them. Improvisation teaches that you must be demonstrating the answer this question at each moment and do it in a way that is compelling for your listeners.
Improvisation also teaches what a message is made of and what needs to happen in the communication and when. Speakers who use this knowledge and the timing that it develops become master persuaders and have a real competitive edge.
In this program, NSANYC members will engage in playful, interactive exercises (improvisation, theater games, and mind/body/voice techniques) that will help you build trust while enhancing your connection to the audience and your ability to think quickly on your feet. Discover how play will enhance the way you present yourself on the platform and persuade. Serious fun.
