About the Event:
Are you bookable as a speaker? What is bookability, anyway?
The speaking industry is saturated with hard-working, well-intended talent. On its own, a good story is just a good story. On its own, a killer marketing strategy is, well, a waste of money. Further, it is becoming harder and harder to get in front of prospective buyers. So, is there a magic formula?
Being bookable is about consistently capturing the attention of the buyers armed with only your online brand, word-of-mouth reputation and collateral materials.
A bookable speaker is more than talent behind the microphone. It’s more than hard work, and it’s a lot more than good intention. It’s all of that, and a myriad of nuances often overlooked by even the most seasoned speakers.
How do you become bookable?
Quite simply, the way to bookability is by removing all doubt of your excellence. If anything about your marketing materials incites fear in the buyer, you’ll be passed over. Instill confidence, and your bookability increases.
As a management agency with nearly 100 collective years on the frontlines, we work every day with bureaus and planners on the hunt for talented speakers. This means we know what they like, who they like, why they like it.
And what they hate.
This session will help you discover:
– where you are wasting your time and money
– how you are presenting yourself, and how others are perceiving you
– how to appeal to the buyer
– configuration of your brand for more bookings
– confidence that you’re headed in the right direction
– clarity around your whole package
– congruence between who you are and what you’re presenting
About the Speaker:
Since 1997, Christa Haberstock has blurred the line between ‘Talent’ and ‘Agent’ by living large on both sides of it at the same time.
On the ‘Agent’ side of the line, she is President & Founder of See Agency, the industry’s fastest growing speaker management outfit. She manages, consults and represents a cadre of elite corporate talent, personally booking over $3M of speakers annually into corporate events.
In 2016, See Agency was awarded a coveted spot on the Inc. 5000, ranking a remarkable #1036 on the List of America’s Fastest Growing Companies. In recognition of her exceptional willingness to assist others in the bureau industry, Christa received the 2016 Dottie Walters Helping Hands Award by the International Association of Speakers Bureaus.
For nearly a decade, she has appeared on TV, radio and podcasts presenting about the speaking industry. She has spoken to audiences across the US and Canada, helping professional speakers and entertainment from around the world remove their own barriers to bookings and win more business.
And on the ‘Talent’ side of the line? Christa is both an accomplished Recording Artist and Actor. She has written, performed and produced award-winning songs which received radio play in the US, Canada, and West Africa. Her music has won international awards and earned critical acclaim “from people who know stuff”.

She has also done time as a Stand-up Comedian, most recently invited to open for Caroline Rhea and Kevin Nealon.
Christa continues to work on an assortment of diverse projects, including various web series and voice-over work. Her short-film performances are being shown to great reviews at Film Festivals across the US.
